I was reading this article on a panel about the 50th anniversary of the Legion of Superheroes (an old favorite I no longer read), and came across this quote:

makes sense. legion is a hard book to write. you got tons of characters with tons of backstory and incarantions mostly obscure unless ur a hardcore legion fan.
